Live from the LHC: The unmasking of the Higgs boson

The Higgs boson is the only particle predicted by the standard model of physics that remains undetected. That may soon end, with a press conference on Wednesday morning at 9?am Swiss time, 8?am UK time, 3?am ET.

I'm at CERN, near Geneva, Switzerland, to hear the latest results from ATLAS and CMS, the Large Hadron Collider's particle detectors. I'll be tweeting all the action, gossip and results - follow our live tweets right here and at @newscientist.
